Nice location, but I had higer expectations

Cockroach in the bathroom (however, like in many other ground floor rooms in comparable hotels / resorts on Ko Lanta and Thailand). Property in need of refurb, again, like many other in Thailand.

What was the highlight of Andaman Lanta Resort

Good for a few days only

We love the location right on Klong Dao beach, with the beautiful swimming pool. We liked our poolside room which had fresh bedding and towels each day and was kept spotlessly clean by our happy smiley housekeepers. The bed was comfortable and we slept well every night. We loved the terrace outside our room. with its two garden chairs and table, and importantly for us was in the shade all day. It was very hot when we stayed, 35C feels like 38C so we needed shade.

The breakfast was poor, compared with some amazing hotel breakfasts we've had in Thailand. Cheap juice, they regularly ran out of items, no butter only margarine. Overcooked eggs. I would advise anyone to book without breakfast as about 100 yards up the beach is the fab German Bakery which has a comprehensive menu and excellent food. Another bugbear was the seemingly universal habit of guests hogging a sunbed with a towel then disappearing for hours. It's just not on and spoilt our few days as often it was impossible to sit by the pool. The pool itself was excellent for swimming.

Room is ok if you just need a place to sleep. Swimming pool area is very nice and right on the beach, nothing special tho unfortunately. Restaurant can be improved too.

Seems like a great spot if you enjoy the option of swimming pool and sea

Pretty good location, close to the port and plenty going on a round.

We only stayed one night as a stopover so did not see much of the hotel or use any of the facilities, pool etc. so cannot comment on any dislikes!

Peaceful hotel right by the cozy beach of Khlong Dao

The bungalow was right next to the beach, had a sea and pool view! Very peaceful and clean hotel, nice cooling pool and warm ocean. Very friendly staff!

Breakfast was not exceptional but very good, could have an additional omelette service, as the cook was anyway hanging around..

Wonderful

My third time on the island over the last 13 years, and 3rd time at that hotel. Great pool, and right on the beach which is central on the island. It is safe and comfortable- families with small children can relax. Good massages available next to the pool. I was ready to crash out and relax and think, so I stayed long past my original date. Lots of places on the beach or along the roadway to go to for eats, especially if you rent a scooter. Also, a lovely open air cinema is there now, just a few minutes down the road. They show two movies each evening (the first animated)- and dirt cheap, with a bar and food available.

The breakfast is acceptable, but if you stay more than a week, it becomes rather monotonous. Like so many places, they do not provide a decent comfortable chair to sit on in the room. Pool loungers are not very comfortable- need some padding in some way.

Awasome beach, road side rooms are noisy

Beach location is awesome. Too bad they don’t make use of the beach by putting some beds there. Staff at the bar/restaurant is very friendly and helpful. Reception staff speaks very poor English.

Beds are quite hard and across the street is a shady massage salon that gets very loud til late. Because our room was not ready we got a road side room. Bad choice.

A lovely place to stay right next to Klong Dao beach

We loved our poolside room with its very comfortable bed, small kitchen area with kettle abd fridge, the bathroom with an actual bath and over-bath shower, room safe and bathrobes. It was kept spotlessly clean by the capable and friendly housekeeping staff with towels and bedding changed where necessary, and drinking water, coffee etc replenished daily. We had a table and chairs on our terrace, mainly in the shade, which was good as it was over 30C while we were there. A buffet breakfast was included in the price of our room and had the usual offerings. It was fine and replenished as items ran out. The pool was cool but not freezing cold as some can be so I was able to have daily swims. There were plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas.

On the ground floor we had plenty of mosquitos in the room having a room facing the street the traffic was really loud

We had a perfect stay and would highly recommend this resort.

The breakfast was fine with sufficient variety. The setting for the resort was a well thought out, lovely low rise design. From the pretty pool with palm trees you look out on a wonderful stretch of beach. We stayed in several rooms (as we returned to this resort), all were well designed and clean and met our expectations A very easy place to stay, a good pool bar/restaurant as well as easy access to other beach restaurants. Good place for families or couples to stay. We didn’t have transport but we’re able to get around by taxis or tuk tuk.

We loved the quiet rhythm of our stay but Koh Lanta is a very chilled place, restaurant tend to close early. It might not be to your taste if you want a more lively environment. Perhaps the small criticism l might have was the dim lighting in the corridors of the hotel.

Overall the hotel was very clean and well kept. The location is good and the beach is very nice for swimming.

The interior of the rooms is very old and the shower a bit inconvenient. The AC is very old and loud. The prices of the hotel bar restaurant are higher than the ones of the neighbouring locations but the quality is not better.

What was the highlight of Andaman Lanta Resort

Great villa with beautiful views.

The property is right on the beautiful Klong Dao beach. We went for one of the villas which has uninterrupted views of the beach in both directions. The room was extremely spacious and cleaned daily. The pool was great for our toddler and happy hour cocktails went down well during sunset.

The hotel itself is a little tired with the restaurant area requiring a bit of updating / fixing. There appears to be a staircase that leads to a seating area on top of the restaurant which looks to have been broken for some time and out of use. We opted for breakfast included, which wasn’t the best and if we stayed again would not pick. However the above did not impact our stay and would definitely recommend one of the villas for a travelling family.

Excellent value for money

Very nice clean room, some wear and tear here and there, but nothing major. Fresh, well kept sheets and towels. A BIG plus on very good ventilation in the room, everything dried quickly and there was absolutely no damp smell anywhere. Nice pool & garden area and a great massage parlor. Location right on the shore – beautiful views to the sea. Good basic breakfast with some variation from day to day. Lovely staff at the restaurant and massage place! All in all a very positive experience and a good stay, we enjoyed our time here!

Bathroom was quite modest, very plain and simple with only the very basics, but if you don't expect luxury, it's plenty good :) The bed was a little bouncy, not the best for people who prefer firm beds, but alright. The staff at the reception had a little more difficulty with English, and weren't always quite as friendly or helpful compared to the staff at the hotel restaurant.
